Modern Electronic Ways of Learning (E-Learning) , The Future of Educatio

You’ve probably  already seen, heard or experienced by yourself  many aspects and methods of E-Learning, which is the new efficient and easy way of learning nowadays. Modern technological advances have lead us towards new methods of getting information and testing our knowledge about everything.

In the following article, we are going to talk about some of the most recent developments in E-Learning fields today and how an E-Learner s could benefit from them.

E-Learning Methods

There are many forms and types of E-learning that are used by large numbers of students and academics around the globe. We will mention some of those:

Video-Based Learning

What is Video-Based Learning? How could Video-Based Learning help making learning easier? Here comes the answer, Video-Based Learning is learning through watching videos instead of reading written texts, which could be much more fun, making the process of learning an enjoyable journey instead of a boring obligation.

Furthermore, video-Based Learning offers much more engaging content than written text, visual and auditory ways of viewing information  capture the attention of the learners and fasten the process of learning, this method of E-Learning is considered really flexible, the learner can understand and absorb the information in his/her own pace, they can pause the video or repeat any difficult part anytime they need.

Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

Artificial Intelligence (AI) surely is one of the most important marking points of the last decade’s advancements in technology ,and it still is a very promising field for future breakthroughs in different branches of life, but what exactly is Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning?

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are the processes in which humans can teach the most basic ways of thinking that define them to the machines they use, in order to enable those machines to do more and more tasks for them.

But how could a smart machine help humans to learn better or in an easier way?

Well, in most of the E-Learning platforms, some sort of constant data analysis is required to keep the learning process as efficient and convenient for the learner as possible. This may be just the right mission for an artificial intelligence program that observes the interactions a learner makes through quizzes and test questions, then modifies the content until it’s most suitable for this particular learner.

Micro &Nano learning

What is Micro Learning? What is Nano Learning?

These new techniques of learning are just as the name implies , when we hear the word ‘Micro’ we just think immediately of something small, or when we hear the word ‘Nano’ we think of something even smaller, well that is the meaning that they stand for, Micro and Nano Learning are new methods of E-Learning that depend on small amounts of information that are introduced to the learner as short videos or small paragraphs. These techniques are very suitable for quick instant learning when there is no enough time for a deep learning experience. For example, sometimes we need to learn the meaning of a foreign word, a complicated science term or even to remember something we’ve learned before. Micro Learning and Nano Learning divide large amounts of Information into small chunks or ‘Bite-sized’ Information, that are suitable for learning ‘on the go’ or ‘just in time’.

Gamification

what is Gamification ? and how does it apply in the E-Learning process ?

Gamification can be defined as the application of typical elements of game playing ( such as point scoring, competition with others, virtual badges ..etc.) to other areas of activity, in this case , to education.

This method of E-Learning is all about making the learning environment fun and engaging for learners. when learners find out about the information through a system that is similar to a game they like, they probably won’t forget about it for a really long time. This is possible by dividing the course into levels , with a virtual badge at the end of each level that is granted to learners who achieve the required goals. This method is especially suitable for Electronic Classes , and it attracts large numbers of learners

So, next time when you think about taking an online course or participating in an E-Class , make sure to learn about the many options you have , then choose the right one for you!
